Our Sunlighten Infrared Sauna was made for healing.

Not all saunas are the same. If you’re already familiar with infrared, great! If you’ve only experienced traditional saunas or haven’t optimized your wellness journey with regular infrared sauna use, we invite you to experience the difference for yourself.

We selected the Sunlighten M-Pulse Infrared sauna for our healing studio because it’s one of the best available and we believe you deserve it!

  • In a nutshell, infrared light is healing rays from the sun. You may not be able to see it, but you can definitely feel it when you’re at the beach or outside on a sunny day - that feeling of “ahh, that’s nice”.

Infrared has several wavelengths, each of which affect us differently.

    LEARN ABOUT INFRARED

  • Red light therapy is a natural, non-invasive treatment that uses red and near infrared wavelengths to penetrate the skin, boosting cellular energy, collagen production, and circulation. Similar to sunrise and sunset light, it stimulates repair and regeneration, much like sunlight helps plants grow and thrive.

  • Chromotherapy, or color therapy, is the science of using colors to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that result in health and harmony. Chromotherapy works on various energy points to help balance your body via the full spectrum of visible light. Each color possesses frequencies of a specific vibration, and each vibration is related to different physical symptoms.

The colored light enters the body through the eye and travels to the brain via the optic nerve.

  • Current research supports that 20-30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week has the most amount of positive outcomes.

Since infrared sauna exposure is more efficient than traditional sauna exposure, 20 to 30 minutes is all you really need to reap the benefits.

  • Sweating is a thermoregulatory, homeostatic, mammalian characteristic. The eccrine sweat glands, located in the subdermis, produce a salty solution which is exuded on to the skin. The evaporation of sweat reduces body temperature. The stimulus to produce and release sweat physiologically is a raised body temperature, which is sensed by central and skin thermoreceptors and processed by the preoptic area of the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus stimulates the sweat glands via the sympathetic autonomic nervous system, thus returning surface and hence body temperature back to normal levels.

Each being has a unique experience to the world around them. There may be other factors that affect your sweat response. It is possible that your body might not sweat very much at the beginning of your sauna exposure.

Over time, with consistent use, your body has the potential to both increase the quantity of sweat produced and decrease the time in which it takes to begin sweating.

Keep in mind, that as soon as the light penetrates the epidermis (skin), there are numerous potentially helpful effects occurring in the body, not solely just the sweat response.
